Argyle patterned section
Continue working in the round, in stockinette stitch. Carry yarn loosely and keep it on the purl-side of your work.
*When you begin each of the four diagonal stripes (Color A), find the midpoint of one of your 6-7 foot lengths of yarn and make your first knit stitch at that point, producing two tails. Each tail will be used to make the stitches for one of the diagonals originating at that point.
Pattern repeats on 16 stitches as follows (unlettered squares are main color). Repeat pattern x 4 per row, knitting in the round. Keep carried-along yarn very loose and in back of work.

Hand ribbing and thumb slit
After finishing 1 complete argyle pattern (33 rows), work [k1, p1] rib in-the-round for 3 or 4 rows in main color. At the point of any one of the “B” colored triangles, begin working ribbing back and forth to make the slit for the thumb, working all the way around the cuff (64 stitches), then working back again in rib pattern. Work ribbing back and forth until slit is about 1½” long, then go back to [k1, p1] in-the-round for another 3-4 rows. Bind off loosely in pattern.
Pinky finger loop (optional)
Slip the wrist warmer on and with your thumb in the thumb-hole, mark where the little finger meets the ribbing. Using a small crochet hook (about US size B), chain stitch a small loop at that point to slip over the pinky finger.
Note: If you put on a pinky-loop, your wrist warmers will have right- and left- handedness because the span across the palm is shorter than the span over the back of the hand.
