Welcome to Pink Argyle! In case it isn’t obvious from the copious pictures of yarn, this is a knitting blog. With a little bit of spinning and other fiber goodness thrown in from time to time.
We are a mother-daughter duo who started Pink Argyle in November of 2007 when we realized we were spending way too much time talking about knitting. Why not collect our musings together in one place? Since then, we’ve gone through a whole lot of ups and downs. We’ve published eight free patterns, gotten hooked on Ravelry (we’re argylebarb and argyleandrea, respectively), and become a new mom and a first-time grandmother.
Lately, Barb (the grandmother in this duo) has been doing most of the knitting and most of the posting and has written all but one of the free patterns. Andrea (the new mom) has mostly been learning the words to “the itsy-bitsy spider” and trying to locate her yarn stash under the ever-growing piles of toys. Andrea still finds the time once in a while to knit and to work on the design and coding side of the website. Though when baby #2 arrives in May 2011, all bets on even doing that much are off!
If you’d like to e-mail us, we always like to hear from people and we’re even pretty good about responding.
